A video of Hira Mani getting robbed outside her home in Karachi on Saturday during broad daylight surfaced on social media. The CCTV footage of the robbery also went viral on social media.
The Pakistani starlet confirmed the news on her social media platform. Hira shared the CCTV footage of being mugged on her Instagram account. The incident happened just when she had reached home with her children. Two men on separate bikes approached them as she was about to step out of the car. The elder son had already gotten off the car before the robbers ambushed them.
They snatched her phone and other personal belongings. Fortunately, no one was physically hurt in the incident. She claimed that Ibrahim, her eldest son, distracted the thieves and they ran away.

However, in her social media message she said: “Dear mobile snatcher, I forgive you.”
Her fans and followers on social media expressed concerns for her and her family. A score of her colleagues also sent her warm wishes. The incident once again picked up the debate of increasing street crime in Karachi and the inefficiency of the law enforcement agencies to protect citizens from muggers and miscreants.

During the first three months of 2021, citizens of Karachi lost millions of rupees in armed robberies and snatching at gunpoint. Incidents of snatching and mugging were reported in almost all the districts of Karachi.
