After an awfully long wait, Honda Atlas has decided to launch Honda City in Pakistan tomorrow.
According to the official page of Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan, the car will be unveiled on 29th July at 7:30 PM in Lahore and the launch would be digitally viewed on social media platforms, namely Facebook and Youtube.
According to the Pakwheels blog, the price for the new generation of the 1200cc Honda City is Rs2,725,000.
According to the car experts, the Honda City spotted in June on the motorway was 1200cc CVT which would be priced around Rs. 2 million.
Lastly, the new 1200cc Honda City with Manual Transmission is guessed to be priced at Rs2,525,000. This means that the high-end variants with higher power would be around Rs. 3 million.
According to the reports, the new Honda city would have five variants in the local market. Out of this, two are 1200cc engines and the other three variants would be the higher-powered 1500cc engine.
The 1.5L engine produces 118 horsepower and 145 Newton meters of torque. The 1.2L engine produces 89 hp and 114 Nm of torque. Depending on the variant, both the engines will be mated to either a manual or a CVT gearbox.
The five variants are City 1.2L Manual; City 1.2L CVT; City 1.5L CVT; City Aspire 1.5L MT; and City Aspire 1.5L CVT.
Exterior
The 6th generation of the vehicle is lightly longer than its predecessor. It is 4,442mm in length, which is 22mm longer than the 5th generation. The car also has a longer wheelbase, which is 2600mm. The trunk of the car is 30 litres bigger than the predecessor with 536 liter space.
Safety
The safety features include electronic stability control, ABS, Variable stability assist (VSA), Hill-start assists, reversing camera, parking sensors, keyless entry and go, cruise control, among other features.
Interior and Infotainment
The new Honda’s steering wheel is multifunctional and the dashboard has been improved greatly. The combination of blue and white lights in the dashboard gives the car a cool look. It comes with a new Display Audio infotainment system. The system also features a Bluetooth phone, audio streaming, a reverse camera, and a 7-inch colored touchscreen with capacitive touch surfaces for volume control and climate control. The car has a piano black center stack, which is button-free.
It must be noted that only the premium VTI-L has paddle shifters, leather-wrapped gear, push start button, and keyless entry.
The Pakistani automobile market has recently seen a surge in sedan availability. For the longest time, cars have been out of the range of the masses. Recent government’s attractive Auto policies, however, and the increased support for the automotive companies to set bases in Pakistan have attracted different automotive companies to Pakistan.
