Honda unveils new 250cc bike and it costs the same as a Mehran!

News Desk |

Atlas Honda has unveiled its new 250cc variant in Pakistan: the 2018 Honda CB 250F.

Following the launch of 150F last year, Atlas Honda had promised an improved version during 2018. The 150F was a 150cc bike, which had proven to be an instant hit. The 2018 CB 250F — similar to TNT25 — is a single cylinder motorcycle and comes with a six-speed linear shift transmission.

These figures are a combined data of all of Atlas Honda’s bike products. Recently, the company also increased the prices of its bikes by Rs. 1000.

As far as the brakes are concerned, the consumers get single disc brakes both in the front and the rear. The front tyre is 110/70-R 17 M/C (54H), and at the rear, you get 140/70-R 17 M/C (66H). The 2018 Honda CB 250F comes with a telescopic fork suspension in the front and mono-shock swing arm suspension in the back. The tank can hold 16.5 litres of fuel, and the bike itself weighs 135 kilograms.

Considering the fact that it is a CBU (completely built unit), the price is arguably ridiculous, experts say. The 2018 Honda CB 250F is priced at Rs. 640,000. Interestingly enough so is the Suzuki Mehran Euro 2. While that may be an offensive comparison for Mehran lovers, it is in fact, a sad reality.

Its close competitors include both the Benelli TNT25 (engine wise) as well as the Benelli 302R (price wise). Suzuki has its 250cc Inazuma (twin cylinder), which is priced under Rs. 6 lac. And then there are various cheap Chinese bikes with same engine displacement. In terms of looks, the 250F has impressed a number of experts who labeled it as a breath of fresh air.

2018 Honda CB 250F’s features include: 4-stroke single cylinder 250cc DOHC, 6-speed gearbox, Self-start system, LED tail light, front & rear disc brakes and alloy rims with tubeless tires. Moving towards the engine and suspension specifications, the 250F is, as the name suggests, a 250cc engine.
