Design and display
Huawei Mate X comes with hinges that allow it to be folded outwards, turning an 8-inch tablet into a 6-inch smartphone. So basically, you get a 6+ inched screen on either side of the device. It has an OLED display for rich and immersive colours at 2200 x 2480 pixels with the option of full stretch view. If you look to the left of the rear screen you’ll see a quad-camera system accompanying the power button, fingerprint scanner and the USB C charger.

Hardware and performance
Mate X is equipped with a Kirin 980 (7nm) processor mounted on an Octa-core CPU. Being the most recent and the most powerful processor introduced for cellular devices, it provides users with maximum speed and lowest response time.
This smartphone runs on Android Pie 9.0 installed as a stock firmware and the EMUI, Huawei’s standard user interface, that gives the Mate X better AI handling, performance, and speed.
Moreover, this smartphone also offers an Infrared sensor which you can use to control synced Home Appliances. So, this device can function as a smartphone, a tablet and a universal remote.
On the hardware side, Mate X has an 8 GB RAM and a massive 512 GB of internal memory with a further option of adding a nano memory card. You can store all your favourite movies and tv shows to watch offline!

Camera features
The camera is nothing less than a treat for all the photographers out there. Leica Optics designed all three lenses; 40 Mega Pixel wide-angled, 16 Megapixel ultra-wide angled lens and the 12 Megapixel telephoto lens that gives quality zoom to pictures.
Apart from that, you’re also getting a Time-of-Flight (TOF) camera that is designed for 3D rendering and modelling. The focal aperture ranges from 1.8 to 2.4, allowing users to make the most out of daylight as well as night time shooting. You’re not going to find any selfie cameras on the Mate X, but you’ll be glad to know that you can get a 40 MP selfie using the main cameras. Besides, you also get to make videos at 4K Ultra-HD resolution 2160p@30frames per second.

Battery
Huawei is powered by a large 4500mAh Li-ion battery. It also has a Rapid Charging feature that charges the device to 85% in just 30 minutes. Besides this, Mate X is compatible with 5G cellular network. Huawei is already heavily investing its resources towards 5G technology. The company remains at the forefront in the race for 5G technology.
Price
Mate X is priced USD $2400 in the US market and Huawei’s Mate X price in Pakistan is around Rs. 350,000.
