PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has allegedly been exposed in a new audio leak. In the latest audio leak, it seems that Imran Khan himself was involved in horse trading during his tenure as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The comments made by the former premier in the purported audio suggested that it was recorded before the voting on the no-confidence motion was held against him.
In the audio, a voice, allegedly belonging to Imran Khan, can be heard talking about buying 5 members of the National Assembly. It is however unclear who Imran Khan is talking to.
“It is a misunderstanding if it is being considered that the number game has been completed…don’t think that it is over because 48 hours is a long long time,” Imran Khan allegedly says.

Since “48 hours” was mentioned, it is being speculated that the time period was April 7, the day the Supreme Court directed the National Assembly speaker to hold a vote on the motion no later than April 9.
Imran Khan also allegedly says that he is making moves on his own that cannot be made in public.
“I am buying five, I have five. [We need] to give the message that the five are very important. And tell him if he secures five more and it turns to 10 then the game is in our hand,” Imran Khan says.

Pertinent to mention that prior to the controversial no-confidence motion against Imran Khan, several PTI MNAs rebelled against the PTI Chairman and sided with the then-Opposition who was accused of horse trading.
On the other hand, the authenticity of the audio clip is being questioned since it has multiple edits.
Imran Khan’s audio leak
This is the second audio leak of Imran Khan that has been released. The first one was on the US cipher which the PTI chief claimed led to the ouster of the previous government and was released in two parts.
The timing of the second audio leak is interesting. It has been released at the same time as Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah was chairing the first meeting of the committee formed to probe audio leaks.
Since many audio clips have been released allegedly of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, and former premier Imran Khan, the federal government established the committee to investigate the security breach at the PM House and suggest steps to ensure safety.
