Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is under fire on social media for disrespecting Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, in the session organized yesterday to discuss the agreement with Tehreek-I-Labbaik Pakistan.
Soon after the assembly session, the video of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi threatening NA Speaker Qaiser to hit him with a shoe went viral on social media stirring massive backlash and calls to apologize from social media users.

The heated exchange of words between Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Asad Qaiser happened during the critical session organized to discuss the solution for the protection of the sanctity of the prophethood of Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Numerous Twitter users condemned his scornful behavior towards Asad Qaiser.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi refused to follow the instructions of the Asad Qaiser to remain seated at his place and not to stand in front of his chair during the session. Ignoring all calls to maintain courteous behavior during the NA session, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi shouted at Asad Qaiser, “You are making it […] controversial. Don’t you have any shame?” shouted the former prime minister, as he approached the speaker’s rostrum.

To which, Asad Qaiser asked Khaqan Abbasi to ‘mind his language’. “You always behave like this,” he said to the PML-N leader.
At this, Abbasi said: “I will remove my shoe and hit you with it.”

The speaker responded by saying: “I will do the same; do not cross your limits. Please return to your seat and speak there.”
Following the end of the assembly session, a score of PTI leaders condemned the crass behavior of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the National Assembly. Fawad Chaudhry, expressing his disgust, said that “Unfortunately, people like Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have held the position of the prime minister of Pakistan.”

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was severely grilled on TV shows last night as news of his indecent behavior with Asad Qaiser continues to infuriate people.
In another video, he said that he was almost ready to hurl a shoe at Asad Qaiser. He said that he was not just threatening but he was all set to throw the shoe. Adding that he will do it again and again if he won’t be allowed to speak at the assembly. Assembly is not the property of speaker National Assembly added Asad Qaiser.
