The alleged video shows cricketer Iftikhar Ahmed roaming and enjoying at the Times Square in New York has gone viral on X. The man in the video is heard saying, ‘Ye dekhain, kal match hai or Chacha g idhar phir rahay hain’ (Look, tomorrow is match, and Chacha jee is roaming the streets of New York).
The alleged video has further angered the disgruntled fans. The cricketer had already received immense backlash for his poor performance against India. As opposed to the expectations, Iftikhar Ahmed could not finish the match for Pakistan, while Pakistan was on the brink of victory. He is once again receiving vitriol on social media.
Commenting on the video one X user said, “Same tradition years after, Burger thusso before the India game. First it was in London and now in NYC.”
