In a major win for PTI, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted bail to senior PTI leader Shahbaz Gill in the sedition case filed against him.
Pertinent to mention that Shahbaz Gill has been in police custody for over a month after he was arrested for inciting mutiny within the Pakistan Army through his remarks during a private TV channel show.
The hearing of the sedition case against PTI leader Shahbaz Gill was held in the IHC on Thursday under Chief Justice Athar Minallah. CJ Athar Minallah granted bail to PTI leader Shahbaz Gill after hearing arguments from both parties.
The CJ said that the court admits that Shahbaz’s statement was irresponsible but it does not come under sedition. Political parties throw sedition allegations at each other for fun nowadays, he added.
The CJ concluded the hearing, accepting the PTI leader’s post-arrest bail plea.

PTI celebrates Shahbaz Gill’s release
PTI is celebrating Shahbaz Gill’s bail and is honoring him for refusing to go against Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan despite the hardships he faced while in police custody.

Similarly, senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said Shahbaz Gill’s release is a victory for democracy and justice. He also praised Shahbaz Gill for his courage.
“Shahbaz Gill’s release is a victory for justice and democracy. The way Shahbaz stood like a lead wall for the party and Imran Khan, today the whole party is proud of his courage,” Fawad Chaudhry tweeted.

PTI leader and former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Sayed Zulfi Bukhari welcomed Shahbaz Gill back and felicitated his patience and courage.
