Important landmarks in USA, China, Turkey lit up with Pakistani flag

In honour of Pakistan Day, important landmarks in the US, China, and Turkey lit up with the Pakistani flag. Wishes from different countries including Russia also poured in for Pakistan and its people on Pakistan Day.

Important landmarks in the USA, China and Turkey lit up the Pakistani flag on 23rd March Pakistan Day. From New York to Bosphorus in Istanbul and Burj Khalifa in Dubai illuminated in green and white colour in a goodwill gesture for Pakistan.

Pakistani Consul General in Dubai took to Twitter and shared the video of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper, lit with a Pakistani flag. It is an annual practice in which the important landmark turns green and white on important national festivals of Pakistan.

Similarly, historic Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridges on Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey linking Asia with Europe also turned green and white reflecting the colours of the Pakistani flag on 23rd March 2021. Pakistani Embassy in Turkey shared captivating images of the bridge on Twitter.

Canton Tower in Guangzhou, China lit in green & white displaying greetings on Pakistan National Day and 70 years of China-Pak diplomatic ties. According to the Pakistani ambassador, this is the first time a foreign country’s national day message was displayed on this iconic tower in China.

 

Besides that, the Pakistani flag was also displayed at the Time’s Square in New York, United States of America.

Wishes from different countries including Russia also poured in for Pakistan and its people on Pakistan Day.

A message of love and brotherhood

Earlier, on 2nd March, Atakule Tower, Ankara’s tallest landmark in Turkey displayed the Pakistani flag in commemoration of 23rd March Pakistan Resolution Day. The landmark lit with the Pakistani flag in a gesture of love and appreciation for Pakistan from a brotherly country, Turkey.

It also displayed the messages of love and brotherhood between Pakistan and Turkey. Meanwhile, Solo Turk, the special aerobatics team of the Turkish air force will be participating in this year’s Pakistan Day parade rescheduled for 25th March 2021.

The team reached Pakistan a few days ago and has been rehearsing with the Pakistani Sherdil team. Ministry of National Defence regarding the participation of the solo Turk in the Pakistan Day Parade.

The statement read: “The demonstration team of our Air Force Command SOLOTÜRK will participate in the National Day events of the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan, and will fly a demonstration flight. Our SOLOTÜRK team reached Pakistan’s capital Islamabad for the ceremonies to be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. ”
