A medical report stated that Khan had been experiencing dyspepsia (a digestive disorder) for the past five days and was already taking proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) for it.
After a team of doctors from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) visited Adiala Jail, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan shared an update on the health of incarcerated party founder Imran Khan, stating that “Khan Saab is in good health and exercised for an hour today.”

Gohar’s update came after PTI postponed its planned protest at Islamabad’s D-Chowk on the opening day of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, following assurances from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi that doctors would examine Khan’s health at the Rawalpindi jail.
According to Gohar, two specialists—an ENT doctor and a medical specialist—visited Khan at Adiala Jail at 4 p.m. He later posted on X, expressing gratitude to PTI workers and supporters concerned for Khan’s well-being, adding: “Alhamdulillah, Khan Saab is in good health.”‘

Gohar also shared a medical report, which noted that Khan was active, afebrile, with normal blood pressure, pulse, and an SpO2 of 96% on room air. The report confirmed that Khan had been experiencing dyspepsia for five days and had tinnitus for several months, for which he was already on medication. No new ear-related complaints were reported. The report concluded that Khan was otherwise healthy and required no additional medication.
A day earlier, Gohar had announced that PTI would delay its protest due to the SCO summit. Despite requesting a meeting between Khan, his sisters, and his doctors, the government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, denied the request.
It was also reported that a team of PIMS doctors would examine the former prime minister. However, Khan’s private physician, Dr. Asim Yusuf, who waited outside the jail for over an hour, was not permitted to meet him. Dr. Asim was informed that only PIMS doctors were authorized to conduct the examination.
