Imran Khan sons arrive in Pakistan to meet father after an assassination attempt

Suleiman Khan and Kasim Khan, the two sons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, and former Prime Minister Imran Khan have come to Lahore to inquire about their father's health.

Suleiman Khan and Kasim Khan, the two sons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman, and former Prime Minister Imran Khan reached Lahore on Thursday to inquire about their father’s well-being.

Suleiman and Kasim will go to Zaman Park, the residence of their father Imran Khan, in Lahore.

Former captain and prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan suffered injuries to his leg after being shot at in a protest march he was leading in Wazirabad in Punjab. Nine other people are believed to have been injured and one person died in the attack.
Imran was taken to hospital soon after and party officials later said he was struck in the right shin and had suffered bone damage from the pellets but that he was in stable condition.
Pakistani TV channels aired footage that amounted to a confession from the alleged gunman who said Imran was the target. Imran, 70, was leading a protest rally on to the capital Islamabad, demanding general elections after he was ousted from power in April this year.

Earlier, the mother of Kasim and Suleiman and ex-wife of Imran Khan, Jemima Goldsmith expressed shock. She also praised the man who foiled the attack on the PTI chief during the party’s long march.

Jemima also conveyed their sons’ gratitude to the man who foiled the assassination attempt. “The news we dread… Thank God he’s okay. And thank you from his sons to the heroic man in the crowd who tackled the gunman,” she wrote.
