Imran Khan’s sister speaks out against current PTI leadership

Aleema criticized the current PTI leadership for lacking the courage to make decisions independently, suggesting that they are using Imran Khan's name while making their own decisions.

Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, has expressed doubts about the current leadership of the party, alleging that they lack genuine intention to secure her brother’s release from jail.

Her statement surfaced after PTI postponed a public rally in Islamabad, rescheduling it to September 8 due to the local administration’s revocation of the no-objection certificate (NOC) and the sealing of roads leading to the capital.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan confirmed the rally’s postponement, stating that the decision was made under Imran Khan’s instructions. However, a short audio clip, allegedly featuring Aleema Khan’s voice, has been circulating on social media, where she voices her frustration over the decision to delay the rally.

Aleema questioned the actions of senior PTI leader Azam Swati, who met with Imran Khan at 7 AM, asking who directed him to deliver the message about the postponement. She criticized the current PTI leadership for lacking the courage to make decisions independently, suggesting that they are using Imran Khan’s name while making their own decisions.

Her comments add to the growing criticism of the present PTI leadership, with former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry also voicing concerns about their political strategy and the slim chances of Imran Khan’s release under their guidance.
