A Pretext for False Flag Attack
DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, tweeting from his official account, said, “Irresponsible statements by Indian military commanders particularly about AJ&K are expression of their frustration due to their failure to handle the situation in IOJ&K and attempts to divert world’s attention from Indian state terrorism and siege of IOJ&K.”

This statement has come in the aftermath of the irresponsible remarks and accusations leveled by India’s Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat, who has accused Pakistan of “reactivating” the alleged terror camp in Balakot without presenting any credible evidence.
Alleged Balakot Terror Camp “Reactivated”
A report by NDTV, on Monday, cited “army sources” that have reported that “close to 500 terrorists are waiting at terror launch pads in Pakistan to infiltrate into India but the military is ready to respond at any level, any range, anywhere.”
The report added that Indian security agencies have been placed on high alert in the wake of these intelligence reports, which “indicate the possibility of a major threat in the run-up to the festive season.” The Indian news outlet stated, “The threat perception is stronger this year than it has been in the past few years.”
Prime Minister Imran Khan had recalled that he even asked the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to send his intelligence personnel to Pakistan
Earlier on Monday morning, India’s Army Chief General Bipin Rawat himself “confirmed” that Pakistan has “reactivated” the alleged terror camp in Balakot. He also stated that “terror camps were active along the Line of Control and about 500 terrorists were waiting to infiltrate into India.”
The Indian “army sources” told NDTV, “Our response will be at any level, any range, anywhere. Adequate plans are prepared. 15 Corps, based in Srinagar, isn’t only for defensive operations.”
Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, amongst other leaders, have raised Pakistan’s apprehensions over India’s endeavor to stage a false flag attack or carry out a misadventure in a bid to divert attention from the humanitarian crisis in Kashmir, and blame Pakistan for sponsoring cross-border terrorism.
