International figures and celebrities had also reacted to his ouster. Simi Garewal penned a short note on her Twitter expressing her views about him. She said Imran Khan is an honest man and that corruption cannot be one of his shortcomings. Simi Garewal, 74 years, has known Imran Khan for 40 years.

Former PM Imran Khan appeared on her show for an interview in 2006. “#ImranKhanPrimeMinister exit teaches: 1. A joint opposition can dismiss a popular Prime Minister. 2 Politics is no place for idealists. (I’ve known Imran for 40 years & idealism is at his core). He may have other failings – but corruption is not one of them,” said Simi Garewal in her tweet.
