Marriyum Aurangzeb harassed in London

Minister of Information Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday was heckled and harassed by a group of PML-N’s political opponents in London while she was in a coffee shop.

The minister went to buy coffee from a café near the Marble Arch station where a group of PTI supporters surrounded her, began yelling at her, and videotaping her. The women supporters of PTI continued to target her with inappropriate allegations, while also accusing her of being a thief. The PTI protestors swarmed around Marriyum and did not let her be during what appeared to be her time off from her official duties as a minister.

“I stayed & answered each & every question they had. Sadly, they are victims of Imran Khan’s propaganda. We will continue our work to counter Imran Khan’s toxic politics & bring people together,” Marriyum Aurangzeb later tweeted on the incident. Top PML-N leaders also condemned the incident.

Twitter was divided over the incident. The State minister is receiving support from social media users. They are praising her for showing calm and restraint. Meanwhile, several social media users reposted the videos of Marriyum Aurangzeb calling out and disrespecting the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
