Is ‘Bran’ the ‘Night King’? GOT fans wonder

News Desk |

A new teaser of HBO fantasy show Game of Thrones was released on Monday announcing the much-awaited date of final and eighth season to be April 14 this year.

“90 days, 23 hours, 55 min, 27 seconds,” said the social media post of HBO.

Teasers show Jon Snow, Sansa, and Arya come together in the crypt of Winterfell of the Starks; as they see their own sculptures there, a sudden chill in the room freezes everything as it does on the arrival of the Night King. But one Stark is missing; their little brother Bran.

There has been a famous theory that Bran actually might be the Night King, the white walker’s leader. Bran Stark who has green sight, prophetic dreams, and visions, gained the ability to see and revisit the past and has tried to end the war. Bran becomes Three-eyed Raven and often goes back in time even after the warning of original Three-Eyed Raven.

Those who believe in the theory say that the voices who told the Mad King to “burn them all” was really Bran Stark telling him to burn all the White Walkers but the king misheard it and decided to burn everyone in King’s Landing instead

One piece of evidence for this theory says that when the first White Walker was created by the Children, he gripped the tree the exact same way Bran gripped the roots beneath the ground while watching because Bran–actually that man– was experiencing it at the moment.

What actually becomes of Bran is yet to be seen, but fans of Game of Thrones have a lot to assume.
