Despite denials of Bushra Bibi’s political involvement, party sources revealed that the former first lady has been actively mobilizing PTI workers for the upcoming protest on November 24, The News reported on Monday.
Insiders told Geo News that the Chief Minister’s House has become the hub of PTI’s political activities, with Bushra reportedly holding multiple meetings there with party leaders from Hazara, Malakand, and Balochistan to ensure strong participation in the protest. These activities appear to contradict statements by PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry, who has asserted that Bushra is not involved in politics and does not intend to be.

Chaudhry, citing the imprisoned PTI founder and former prime minister, said media claims of Bushra formally entering politics were baseless. “She is neither joining politics nor will she in the future,” he said after meeting Khan in Adiala jail.
However, sources claim Bushra has been rallying party members to demand Khan’s release. This aligns with Khan’s recent “final call” for protests on November 24, urging workers to march on Islamabad. The PTI founder’s sister, Aleema Khan, and lawyer have also publicly backed the protest plan.
Meetings at the CM House included PTI leaders from various regions, such as Malakand, Hazara, and Balochistan, as well as office-bearers of the Insaf Students Federation. Bushra emphasized the importance of youth participation, delivering messages from Khan and urging intensified efforts to secure his release. She reportedly described the youth as central to PTI’s movement, highlighting their critical role in the upcoming protest.

While Bushra’s actions have drawn criticism, PTI officials insist she is not engaging in politics. Adviser to the KP Chief Minister Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif clarified that Bushra has merely conveyed the PTI founder’s messages. Similarly, her spokesperson, Mashal Yousafzai, stated that Bushra’s involvement reflects loyalty to Khan’s vision and is more about justice than politics. She described her role as a “jihad for justice” under Khan’s guidance.
