Addressed to “Team Beast,” the memo highlights plans to hire a chief human resources officer, initiate company-wide sensitivity training, and establish an anonymous reporting mechanism. These steps are part of Donaldson’s effort to foster a safer and more inclusive work environment.

The decision to revamp the company’s internal culture follows troubling accusations against a longtime collaborator, Ava Tyson, who allegedly shared inappropriate sexual messages with minors. Donaldson has enlisted the prestigious law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan to investigate Tyson, who left the company in July. The ex-employee, known as Jake Weddle, alleged in a video that the offender was hired under a nickname referencing the offense. Weddle suggested that Donaldson was aware of this individual’s criminal history but chose to cover it up.

Beyond the internal challenges, MrBeast is also facing criticism for alleged unsafe conditions during the filming of his upcoming Amazon Prime Video show, “Beast Games.” The New York Times reported that over a dozen participants from a preliminary event in July spoke anonymously about their harrowing experiences. Contestants described inadequate access to food, medical care, and dangerously exhausting challenges at Nevada’s Allegiant Stadium.
Despite signing contracts that acknowledged the potential risks, participants claimed they were unprepared for the extreme conditions they faced. Reports included contestants being hospitalized, leaving on stretchers, and suffering from dehydration and heat stroke. Some also complained about insufficient food, inadequate medical care, and a lack of clean clothing.
In response, a spokesperson for MrBeast disputed these claims, asserting that three meals were provided daily with multiple dietary options. The spokesperson also cited logistical issues and extreme weather as contributing factors to the complications during filming. A formal review has been launched to address the concerns and improve conditions for future events.
