Following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan on that day last year, widespread protests and riots erupted across the country, particularly in military areas, resulting in damage to both public and private property, including military installations.
The ISPR emphasized that there would be no compromise with those responsible for planning, facilitating, and executing the events of May 9. It asserted that bringing these individuals to justice is crucial to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.

The statement concluded by urging the nation to unite against efforts to undermine Pakistan’s stability and prosperity, emphasizing solidarity with the slogan “Pakistan Armed Forces Zinda’bad, Pakistan Painda’bad.”
