Ghandhara Industries Limited is planning to launch a sports utility vehicle labelled MU-X in Pakistan. This vehicle is poised to compete against the likes of Toyota Fortuner which is a seven-seater mid-size vehicle.
Since the latter half of last year, Pakistan’s auto industry has seen an unexpected turnaround with multiple automakers entering the now-booming market. SUV launches have dominated the auto sector – with South Korean companies like KIA and Hyundai launching Sportage and Tucson SUVs – and British giants like MG introducing MG HS and ZS electric vehicles. Malaysian company Proton couldn’t resist launching its own SUV called x70. With so much happening in the auto industry of the country – the existing players had to unveil new products of their own – and Toyota Corolla Cross SUV and now Ghandhara Nissan’s MU-X – is part of that very strategy.

The seven-seater Isuzu MU-X comes powered by a 3000cc engine paired with either a six-speed automatic transmission or manual – as per customer’s needs. The vehicle will come in 4WD options as well as FWD in the lower trime models.
The 2021 variant will boast an-all new body, chassis, and engine with advanced safety and entertainment features. It has a classy grille in the front which is decorated brilliantly with the sleek bi-LED headlights. MU-X comes equipped with sporty 20-inch wheels and LED tail-lights.
The MU-X has an airbag in the center between the front seats as well. Other features include a world class radar cruise control, twin-camera autonomous emergency braking, blind zone warning, rear cross-traffic alert, speed sign recognition, and more.

Price
The ISUZU MU-X is priced at 1.109 million baht in Thailand which equals around PKR 5.7 Million. The higher trim model, which costs 1.579 million baht in Thailand will be priced at PKR 8.1 Million in Pakistan.
