PML-N leader, Maryam Nawaz, has once again garnered social media mockery following the Jackal’s skin gaffe in a public rally on Friday.
While addressing a public rally in Lahore on Friday, Maryam Nawaz accidentally called Nawaz Sharif ‘a jackal’ as she was demeaning PM Imran Khan. In a new episode of slip of tongue, Maryam Nawaz ended up demeaning her father, Nawaz Sharif.
Maryam Nawaz said, “Geedar ki khal pehan kar koi Nawaz Sharif nahi ban sakta (No one can become Nawaz Sharif wearing the skin of a jackal)” while she actually wanted to say “Geedar ki khal pehan kar koi sher nahi ban sakta (No one can become a lion wearing the skin of a jackal).”

Her video gained immense views and reactions on Twitter. Not realizing the meaning of the phrase, PMLN worker Hina Pervez Butt also tweeted the quote but later deleted it. Within a few hours, hilarious memes and comments popped up on social media bringing her once again into the spotlight for her new gaffe.
Thousands of Twitter users use #geedar to mock the PMLN leadership. Earlier, in her speech she had used Bilawal’s spoonerism ‘Kanpain Tang Rahi Hain’ (trembling are legs) instead of the correct phrase Tangain Kanp Rahi Hain (Legs are trembling). Later she ended up with a new spoonerism for the amusement of social media users.

While Maryam Nawaz has been mum about her slip of the tongue, Bilawal owned his gaffe in an interview with Hamid Mir. Bilawal said he owns the words that he said in a public rally. Bhutto also explained the meaning of ‘Kanpain Tang Rahi Hain’ in the interview.
Following the PPP’s march in Islamabad, a video of Bilawal Bhutto went viral on social media in which he allegedly had a slip of the tongue, saying ‘Kanpain Tang Rahi Hain’ (Legs are shivering). He meant to say ‘Islamabad mai Tangain Kanp Rahi Hain’ (Legs are shivering in Islamabad). He said it while mocking the present government of PTI.
