Pakistani entrepreneur, Javed Afridi, received the first Silk Road Friendship Ambassador Award in China. CEO of Haier Pakistan and the owner of the cricket franchise, Peshawar Zalmi, attended the ceremony virtually.
Afridi thanked the Chinese government and the committee for bestowing him with the award. In a tweet, he expressed his gratitude for the honor.
“It is a great honor to receive the Award of the 1st Silk Road Friendship Ambassador. Thank you to the Organising Committee & Chinese Government! I will continue to work hard to contribute to economic cooperation & cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan,” Afridi said in a tweet.

In his video message, he thanked the 2021 Silk Road Organizing Friendship Committee. He said it is an honor for the Haier Pakistan team as they will turn the honor into a driving force to continue to serve the economic construction of the Silk Road and China-Pakistan friendship. Congratulations poured in for Afridi on the social media platform.

Currently, Afridi is introducing luxurious cars in Pakistan. Last week, he shared an all-new MG Extender – the 4×4 double cabin by the immensely popular British automaker Morris Garages (MG).

The much-acclaimed entrepreneur in a post shared on the popular microblogging site said, “MG Pakistan Excitement Continue, Introducing MG Extender, 2.0 Giant Cab Grand 4×2 with i-smart Intelligent System”.
Afridi also attached an almost 2-minute long video of a shinny blank MG Extender. The video contained 360-degree glimpses from the exterior as well as the interior.

Javed Afridi has from time and again expressed his desire to bring Morris Garages (MG) Motor UK Limited to Pakistan. But only recently, the businessman announced that two models of MG Motors namely MG HS and MG ZS EV were being launched in Pakistan in 2020.
But it doesn’t end there; now we hear that MG is planning to launch a giant pickup truck labeled MG Extender in Pakistan. The British company claims that it will offer performance, safety, and durability.
