Jemima Goldsmith, former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, suffered a fall while hiking on Lion’s Head mountain in South Africa during her New Year’s vacation.
The socialite and filmmaker sustained injuries during the hike and was taken to a hospital in Cape Town. Sharing the incident on Instagram with a touch of humor, Jemima captioned her post: “Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town. Embracing the highs and the lows of 2025 (incredible views from the summit of Lion’s Head with friends & fam and then a tumble & an interminable hobble down in the dark). Happy New Year folks.”

She recounted her fall and injury while exploring Lion’s Head with friends and family and wished her followers a Happy New Year. In response, her admirers shared warm wishes for her recovery. Jemima also posted scenic photos of her hike, followed by a video of herself smiling while on a hospital stretcher and images of her standing with crutches, showing her injured right leg.
Lion’s Head, located between Table Mountain and Signal Hill in South Africa, is renowned for its stunning views, attracting hiking enthusiasts worldwide. Its summit stands at 669 meters (2,195 feet) above sea level.

Jemima, a prominent filmmaker, producer, and journalist, has gained admiration for her charm and intellect, making her a beloved public figure, particularly among Pakistanis and supporters of her ex-husband, Imran Khan.
