Renowned Pakistani anchorperson and journalist, Imran Riaz Khan, who had gone missing for several months without a trace, has finally reemerged, bringing relief to both him and his family. However, the journalist’s return has come with distressing reports about his mental and physical condition.
As media outlets and concerned individuals were asked to give Khan some time before approaching him, a close friend and fellow journalist, Fahad Shehbaz Khan, has disclosed alarming details about Imran Riaz’s current state.
Fahad Shehbaz Khan described the moment he met Imran Riaz Khan at his home, saying that Imran had lost a significant amount of weight and appeared almost malnourished. In fact, Imran had shed 22 kilograms of weight during his ordeal.

During their conversation, it became apparent that Imran Riaz was experiencing a profound “linguistic problem,” a stark contrast to his usual fluency and articulate speech. He struggled to speak coherently, with his speech lacking its usual fluidity.
Imran’s ability to express himself, on a scale of 10, was rated at only 2 in terms of eloquence and verbal clarity by Fahad Shehbaz Khan. This stark change raised concerns about the possible targeting and impairment of his communication abilities.

Despite these challenges, Imran Riaz Khan displayed a sharp memory, though there were signs of severe psychological trauma in his mind.
Fahad Shehbaz Khan lamented that the Imran who had disappeared was not the same person who had returned. He indicated that Imran’s psychological state was at a level 4 on a scale of 10 and suggested that it might take 3-4 months for Imran to make a full recovery and return to his normal self.
While it is indeed a relief to see Imran Riaz Khan back, it is unfortunate that he has returned to less-than-ideal health, as noted by Fahad Shehbaz Khan.
