JS Bank earlier paid the Netflix subscription of its customers. The news came as a surprise to the customers since the bank had made no such announcement.
To clarify, Netflix is a popular streaming platform that offers a wide variety of series and movies for its customers. Netflix subscription plan ranges from Rs 250 to Rs 1100.
The news initially broke when #JSBLNetflixSurprise began trending on Twitter. Customers flooded the social media platform by claiming that they received a message from JS Bank stating that it will reverse their Netflix payment. Important to note, only customers holding JS Bank’s platinum debit card received the message.
“This one is on us! We will reverse this month’s Netflix fee debited from your account within three days. Enjoy your free time on Netflix,” the message generated by the bank said.

Reacting to the news, Twitteratis appreciated the bank and expressed excitement. Many even began asking movie suggestions to watch on Netflix!

Interestingly, JS Bank has become Pakistan’s first bank to pay for customers’ Netflix subscriptions. This is indeed a remarkable marketing technique as many Twitteratis claimed that they too will switch to JS Bank.

PM Khan recognizes JS Bank
Owing to its services, JS Bank receives a lot of appreciation. Earlier, PM Imran Khan recognized JS Bank as the best private sector bank under the Kamyab Jawan Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (KJ YES).
In a bid to empower the youth, JS Bank provided value-added financial offerings and services to build entrepreneurial spirit. Under KJ YES, the bank created over 4000 jobs by distributing more than 1,000 loans with a cumulative value of over Rs4.5 billion.
Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated JS Bank for its efforts to create livelihoods and said that the efforts of the bank are a benchmark for the financial industry.
