He is expected to assist his mother Maryam Nawaz who will now take center stage in PML-N after her promotion. PML-N President Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved her appointment.
Maryam Nawaz was earlier holding the office of PML-N’s vice president before the promotion and has been highly active in running the party’s election campaigns and holding public gatherings in different cities. With her new role as PML-N Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer, Maryam Nawaz will reshuffle PML-N at all levels/tiers.
Pertinent to mention that Maryam Nawaz left Pakistan for London last year with the pretext of returning with her father former Prime Minister and PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif. Currently, the father-daughter duo is in Geneva. Maryam Nawaz is expected to return to the country in about a week after her Geneva visit. However, Nawaz Sharif’s return has yet to be finalized.
