Star cricketer Shahid Afridi thanked Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for extending his support to the fundraising held in Vancouver for his organization. The funds collected from the event will be used to build a children’s hospital in Kohat, Pakistan.
Justin Trudeau in his official statement expressed his warm welcome to the team of Shahid Afridi’s charity organization. He encouraged people to donate generously for the cause. Trudeau further reiterated his continuous support towards the cause of humanity.

The statement reads, “Let us recognize that our country is only successful because we have built it on a firm foundation of diversity in which Canadians from all communities – including our Muslim-Canadian community – come together to make our country better for everyone.”

Shahid Afridi thanked Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and shared pictures of a fundraising dinner organized by Islamic Relief Canada. Shahid Afridi in his Twitter post also called out the Pakistani and Indian communities for their tremendous support and donations for the organization.

Shahid Afridi is currently in Winnipeg, Canada attending various charity events. He also met several parliamentarians of Canada as they exchanged plans to support his organization.
Shahid Afridi founded his organization ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ in 2014. Since then his organization is actively involved in supporting the humanity. After his official retirement from cricket, he has devoted himself to his organization. Last month he visited Thar and donated Rs. 100 million to the government of Sindh for the construction of a hospital.
