Afghan cricketer Rashid Khan in his recent social media post said that his IPL teammates Kane Williamson and David Warner observed fast in solidarity with him.
Khan shared a video in which Williamson and Warner were seen sitting with him in a restaurant to break their fast.
“David, how is your fasting today?” asks Khan from Warner in the video.
“Good, but I am very thirsty and very hungry today,” responds Warner. “My mouth is so dry,” added David Warner. He then asked Williamson, how he is feeling. Williamson said, “Very good, thanks.”

“These two legends are having a fast today. It is a pleasure to have them at the table,” says Khan.

He posted the video on his Instagram account. He captioned the video, “Aftari. These two legends were fasting with us today”.
Kane Williamson is playing for Hyderabad Sunrisers in the Indian Premier League which is captained by David Warner. A score of Afghan players including Rashid Khan, Muhammad Nabi, and Khaleel Ahmed are also playing in the team.
Meanwhile, Afghan cricketer Muhammad Nabi played for Karachi Kings in PSL 2021.
Rashid Khan also played for Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2021. Khan stunned with his swashbuckling performance with both bat and ball in his debut PSL match, paved the way for a smashing win to Lahore Qalandars over Peshawar Zalmi.
However, he could not continue to play further matches in PSL 6 as he had to join his national team for a tour to Zimbabwe. “The best thing is to finish it off with the bat and I got an opportunity today,” he said.
“Too soon leaving the PSL. But have to attend national duty,” tweeted Rashid along with a few pictures of him in the Lahore Qalandars colors.
