Kangana Ranaut wants PM Modi to ‘demolish’ Twitter in India

she added that social media organizations like Twitter earns huge profits from them and also restricts people to raise their voice hence these should be demolished as soon as possible.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has asked PM Modi to demolish social media platforms like Twitter in India after the social media giant suspended the account of her sister on the accusation of inciting Islamophobia.

She recently releases the video in which she defended her sister’s tweet and denied the accusations of inciting communalism or demonizing Muslims. She argued that nowhere in the tweet she vilified the entire Muslim community.

She asserted that her sister Rangoli Chandel did not ask to kill the entire Muslim population in India but a selected few who are beating Police and doctors. She said she asked to kill people who are spreading terror in the country.

“We have been falsely accused by Sussanne Khan’s sister Farah Khan Ali and noted Indian filmmaker Reema Kagti for calling for a genocide against Muslims. We only asked for those attacking doctors and police officials to be shot dead… We don’t believe that every Muslim is a terrorist,” Ranaut said in her video.

She also called out celebrity jewellery designer, Farah Ali Khan, and director Reema Kagti for falsely accusing them. Moreover, she added that social media organizations like Twitter earns huge profits from them and also restricts people to raise their voice hence these should be demolished as soon as possible.

Instead, India should create local Twitter-like platforms so that people can use them to raise their voices against miscreants.

Last week, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel’s Twitter account was suspended due to an Islamophobic tweet. She commented that all local Mullah’s (Islamic leaders) should be ‘shot down’ for the spread of coronavirus in India. Her tweet reflected hatred towards the Muslim community.

She quoted an unverified incident that a member of Tableeghi Jamaat died of coronavirus. The family of the deceased, killed police and doctors when they went to check him. She said that “All these Mullahs should be made to stand in a line and shot. She does not care if they label her as being called a Nazi.”

Meanwhile, Farah Ali Khan shots back at Kangana Ranaut’s rebuttal in her latest Twitter post.

She wrote, “I have nothing personal against Rangoli or you and have even met Rangoli in the past where she came across sweet. She has been an acid victim and now a social activist so she should be more responsible with her tweets. She should inspire all who have lost hope to have hope. She should lead by example,” she said.

“Spewing hatred towards a community and calling for them to be killed for the acts of few is unacceptable. I do hope she sees her error and realizes that she has the social and moral responsibility of so much more than just being your sister. God bless you both. May peace be upon you and our country at large,” she added.
