Actress Kangana Ranaut wins the election from Himachal Pradesh as a candidate for BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). The actress won by a narrow margin of 75,000 votes.
Kangana Ranaut is among the few Bollywood celebrities who have been elected to the parliament. She contested the election from Narendra Modi’s BJP after joining the party.
“Heartfelt gratitude to all Mandi residents for this support, this love and trust,” she said on X, referring to her constituency. “This victory is of all of you, this is the victory of faith in prime minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan, this is the victory of the honor of Mandi,” said the actress regarding her victory.
Kangana Ranaut has been a stance supporter of the BJP. Ever since the party came into power in 2014, the actress has multiple times supported and propagated the agenda of BJP.
Back in 2021, Twitter permanently suspended the account of Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut, for violating the rules of the social media platform.
The actress had been vocal about the alleged violence in the recent West Bengal elections in India. She had urged the Indian ruling party, BJP, to reject the election results. She demanded the imposition of the Presidential System in West Bengal. Kangana Ranaut backed her suggestion by claiming that previous Indian presidents have taken this step in the past hence Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also take this action.

These controversial statements led to the permanent suspension of her account. The Twitter spokesperson said, “We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm.
“The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy. We enforce the Twitter Rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service.”
