Khawaja Saad Rafique allegedly uses middle-finger sign in his tweet

In his tweet, he said he does not care if their politics and power are doomed. Rafique said that he won't accept the alleged selective justice system.

PMLN leader Khawaja Saad Rafique was called out on Twitter for using an objectionable middle-finger sign in his tweet on Monday.

Rafique expressed his defiance towards allegedly towards the ongoing court proceedings in the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the ruling of Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Mazari. In his tweet, he said he does not care if their politics and power are doomed. Rafique said that he won’t accept the alleged selective justice system. At the end of the tweet, he called to stop the growing fire of injustice and ended the tweet with a middle-finger sign.

Yesterday, Supreme Court rejected the demand of PDM to form a full court to hear the case against the ruling of the Punjab Deputy Speaker despite raging press conferences of the PDM leaders yesterday. They had expressed distrust of the existing bench of the Supreme Court hearing the case.

The objectionable sign in the tweet of Khwaja Saad Rafique attracted criticism from the netizens. Twitter users asked him to show grace and decency in his criticism. In another tweet, he offered an explanation.

Saad Rafique criticized a private news channel airing the news. Also, he said that he has never abused anyone in his public speeches till today. He, however, used the middle-finger emoji to attract the attention of people towards his message in the tweet.

“I have never abused anyone in any tweet or speech. The sole purpose of finger pointing is to draw attention to your statement May Allah’s wrath descend on the liar,” said Saad Rafique.

People again disagreed with his tweet and asked him to be careful next time while using such objectionable signs.

This is not the first time any PMLN leader has used this emoji. Earlier, Atta Tarar too had shown a middle-finger sign in one of the Punjab Assembly sessions.
