In October 2019, KIA Motors Pakistan introduced its third car in Pakistan, KIA Picanto – a mid-range car. The earlier two models are: Carnival and Sportage intended for high-end customers. Picanto, targeting middle-range users, is vying with cars like Suzuki Cultus, Suzuki Wagon R and Faw V2 in the market.
The car has garnered decent feedback from users.
Interior and Exterior
KIA Picanto is laced with reasonable interior space. The back seat is foldable to expand the trunk space for extra luggage. The deck connectivity is also good. Moreover, it comes with Bluetooth connectivity, Auxiliary, AC, USB port and a 12-volt charger. The information cluster gives information on gear change and fuel average.
Some additional features include such as the tilting-steering and electronic power steering with the height-adjustable driver seat. It also has adjustable seat mirrors, steering controls, ABS Brake and a two-layer pack.

The rear mirrors are fitted with a wiper. The frequency of front mirror wipers can be adjusted from high to low speed with a provision to adjust its intervals.
Fog lights and armrest are missing in KIA Picanto. But the road grip, ground clearance, and suspension are rated at top quality.
The car will be available in four colors:
- Mercury Blue
- Sparkling Silver
- Milky Beige
- Clear White
ISO Child Fix
KIA Picanto also features an ISO Child Fix- an international safety standard. ISO Child Fix has attachment points for child safety at the rear side of the car. It is a unique feature that is usually missing in locally manufactured cars.
Airbags
Two Airbags are also fitted for the safety of the driver and the front passenger. One of the airbags is installed in the steering wheel of the car and the other one is fitted in the dashboard.
The boot space is sizable with a boot separator fitted and a first-aid kit underneath with a spare wheel underneath it.
Engine Power
Kia Picanto is powered by an inline 3-cylinder 1.0 MPI engine that has a displacement of 998CC and 69 horses under the hood, coupled with an automatic or manual transmission.
For reference, Suzuki’s new Cultus also has a similar engine with the same horsepower.
Price and Warranty
KIA Picanto gives a warranty of industry-standard four years or 100,000 KM warranty. The manual version of KIA Picanto worth PKR 1.9 million while PKR 2 million for automatic transmission.
