The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has established a total of 280 Health Vaccine Administration Cells (HVAC) where frontline health workers will be administered the Covid-19 vaccine during the first phase.

An extensive plan has been developed for the purchase and distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine in Kyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) by its government. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health secretary will lead a newly formulated Provincial Vaccine Administration and Coordination Cell (PVACC).

Apart from PVACC, District Administration and Coordination Cells (DVACC) have also been set up in every one of the 35 districts as well as the tribal districts. DVACCs will perform under the PVACC which will be supervised and headed by Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs).
