The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa officially launched a mobile application to facilitate the tourists visiting the province. The provincial minister Atif Khan for Tourism, Culture, Sports, and Archaeology inaugurated the mobile application.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Overseas Pakistani and Chairman National Tourism Board also attended the launch.
The data related to tour operators, hotels, restaurants, booking, tracking, tourist resorts, lakes, and the weather is all available on the website and the mobile app. They also launched three tourist buses to facilitate the foreign and local visitors to reach various tourists attraction spots.
The Walled City of Lahore Authority has commenced the restoration project of heritage sites and buildings in Peshawar.
The official website of KP tourism is adorned with pictures of the scenic beauty of the province. A documentary film highlighting the importance of tourism in Pakistan and KP was also played during the function.
The minister informed that the launch of the tourism website and mobile application had helped increase the number of tourists in the region.
“The launching of our mobile App is aimed at introducing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a tourism destination for international tourists, to attract more tourists and visitors to the province,” he said.

He informed that his ministry is aimed towards attracting 10 million foreign tourists to KP, which is expected to generate approximate revenue of 10 billion for the country.
The minister informed that other projects are under progress and will be completed soon.
According to the recent stats, KP hosted around two million tourists during Eid holidays. KP Minister Atif Khan credited the coherent strategy of the government to promote tourism for the record number of tourists reaching the province this year.
