Popular Indian news website The Quint published a story on Saturday in which they confirmed that Kulbhushan Jadhav is a Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) spy. The news has since been taken down, citing that The Quint is rechecking some of the information mentioned in the article.
The original story was later posted on many other websites. Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesman Dr Muhammad Faisal, in a tweet from his personal account stated that Chandan Nandy, the writer of the story is ‘missing/gone in hiding’ and raised a question about the freedom of press and speech in India.
Update as reported: Journalist Chandan Nandy who filed the story is “missing/gone in hiding”, was last spotted at Khan Market Delhi and since then has been untraceable for Family and friends. Freedom of press ?

The article revealed that two former senior RAW officers were not in favour of Jadhav’s recruitment. ‘Proposal to recruit Jadhav for operations, whatever it’s worth, was ridiculous’, they said. Even though the officers were not willing to hire him, the proposal to recruit Jadhav was finally accepted by the then chief of the intelligence agency. The proposal to hire him was made by a case officer on the Pakistan desk. He was covered as a businessman who would frequent Iran, especially Chabahar.
International Court of Justice(ICJ) will decide the case and it will most likely go in Pakistan’s favour after Jadhav’s multiple confessions and The Quint report.
Jadhav’s parents were advised by the two RAW officers, to not talk to anyone about their son’s case when he was captured. The report revealed that Jadhav had two passports; his name on the second passport was Hussein Mubarak Patel. The dates on the second passport also showed discrepancies. The former officers blame the nabbing of Jadhav on his unprofessionalism and called him a ‘no good spy.

Kulbushan Jadhav is an Indian spy who was captured last year in Baluchistan. He confessed to being a RAW spy and disrupting peace and organising terror in Baluchistan and Karachi. Jadhav was sentenced to death by a military court but India approached the International Court of Justice(ICJ) and his hanging was stayed.
Jadhav was allowed to meet his family on Christmas eve as a humanitarian gesture which sparked even further hostility between the two days because Indian government accused Pakistan of mistreating his family. In a video released on Thursday by the Foreign Office, Jadhav complained to the Indian authorities about the maltreatment of his family, and again confessed to being an Indian Navy officer.
Pakistan and India are age-long rivals, having fought four wars with each other. No love was lost between the two countries when Kulbushan Jadhav, an Indian spy, was caught in Baluchistan in 2017.
The confessions in this report further add weight to Pakistan’s stance against India. The video and the report are proof that India is committing terrorist attacks on Pakistani soil and Jadhav is indeed one of the many terrorists that India has sent to sabotage peace and security in Pakistan. It will also help to win the case in the International Court of Justice(CJ).

Indian authorities and media are not pleased with the article, it can be witnessed by the retraction of the article, and the Indian media has attacked ‘The Quint’ for not being patriotic and siding with the ‘enemy’ country. Chandan Nandy, the writer who wrote this article has also been missing. India claims to be the champion of human rights and freedom of speech but this act exposes its hypocrisy.
Pakistan has long been blamed by India and other countries of committing terrorist attacks, the 2008 ‘Mumbai Attack’ was also blamed on Pakistan without any evidence. Pakistan, on the other hand, has provided adequate evidence of Indian presence in Baluchistan in the form of Kulbushan Jadhav, he has also confessed to committing terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
Jadhav was allowed to meet his family on Christmas eve as a humanitarian gesture which sparked even further hostility between the two days because Indian government accused Pakistan of mistreating his family.
Pakistan and India have fought four wars with each other. No love was lost between the two countries when Kulbushan Jadhav, an Indian spy, was caught in Baluchistan in March 2017. The tensions rose further when India refused to accept his allegations about what he was doing in Pakistan.
