During her workers’ convention in Sargodha on Thursday, Maryam Nawaz launched a scathing attack against the Supreme Court judges. She blasted, what she called, ‘cabal of 5’ for dislodging her father Nawaz Sharif from power.
Displaying pictures of judges and former DG ISI Faiz Hameed, Maryam Nawaz said “the five people visible on the screen are responsible for Pakistan’s current situation.”
Her tirade against the judiciary was echoed even in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday when it took up the Suo Motu case regarding a delay in elections in Punjab and KP.

Maryam Nawaz came under intense criticism for her remarks against the judiciary. PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said Maryam Nawaz thought that she could pressurize the judiciary by ‘abusing’ them.
Fawad said the PDM government wanted to hide their poor performance by hurling abuse towards the judiciary and running away from elections.
Similarly, reacting to Maryam Nawaz’s remarks, Imran Khan came hard on the senior PML-N leader, saying that, “Shameless and calculated attacks on SC judges by PDM & spoilt brat Maryam, nurtured on corruption money, have one purpose only – to run away from elections even by violating Constitution.”
Imran Khan warned that by attacking the Supreme Court of Pakistan, they (the Maryam group) are damaging the federation and ensuring the law of jungle prevails in Pakistan.
