Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced the posting of Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid’s as the Commander of Bahawalpur Corps. He was previously working as the Commander of Peshawar Corps.
Lieutenant General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat has been posted as Commander Peshawar Corps to replace Lt Genetal Faiz Hameed. Lieutenant General Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat, is former GOC 7 infantry division in Miranshah, North Waziristan.
Before this, Lt Gen Hameed has also been the chief of Pakistan’s intelligence agency-the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) between June 2019 and November 2021.
Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed has been appointed commander of the XXXI corps at Bahawalpur. Lt Gen Khalid Zia has been appointed Military Secretary. Lieutenant General Azhar Hayat has been posted Commander of XI Corps at Peshawar: ISPR

Previously, former director-general of the ISPR Lt Gen Asif Ghafoor was appointed Corps Commander Quetta. He was appointed to replace Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali who was embraced martyrdom embraced martyrdom last week after an Army aviation helicopter, carrying out relief operations, crashed in Balochistan.

ISPR also announced that Lieutenant General Khalid Zia has been posted as Military Secretary Pakistan Army.
Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed HI(M) is a three-star ranking general in the Pakistani Army. He has served in 16 infantry division, as Director-General Counter-Intelligence at GHQ, and as Adjutant General.
Back in 2021, Lt General Faiz Hameed vent viral on social media when he was spotted in Afghanistan after the fall of Kabul in August 2021.
Lt General Faiz Hameed was heading the Pakistani team that held a series of meetings with TTP chief Noor Wali Masood in Afghanistan. Earlier today, TTP leader Omar Khalid Khorasani was killed in an attack in Afghanistan. A few other members of the TTP were also killed after they were targeted with a mysterious explosive device that hit the convoy in eastern Afghanistan.

According to some, the peace talks between Pakistan and the TTP are over now that Lt General Faiz has been posted from Peshawar.
