Pakistan’s renowned actress Mahira Khan received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the House of Parliament UK. The award recognized her work and significant contributions to the empowerment of women.
The award was presented in a ceremony at the House of Commons, with support from British parliamentarians and other distinguished guests. The event was hosted by Afzal Khan MP and attended by prominent figures including Dr. Sarah Naeem, the Pakistani High Commissioner, Atta Haq, Chairman of the Labour Asians Society, Shafiq Shahzad, Minister for Trade and Investment, and Manish Tiwari, co-chair of the Labour Asians Society.
Mahira Khan shared the picture of receiving the award on Instagram. Later talking to the media, Khan said she was honored to have received this award. She also thanked her family including her father, son, and husband for providing her unwavering support throughout her career. She also drew attention to the fact that, aside from herself, many other artists from the Pakistani industry also deserve such recognition.

Earlier, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan was slammed and mocked for her recent ramp walk. A video circulating on social media shows the actress dressed in a black bodycon dress appearing on the stage with a bizarre walk.
Wearing high heels, the actress walked hastily and fast on the ramp; netizens feared that she would trip any moment on the stage. However, the actress carried it well. Unlike her usual graceful style, her quick strides and exaggerated movements caught netizens by surprise.
The video of Mahira Khan with her unusual ramp walk received mixed reactions. Some praised the actress for her adopting a new style on the ramp while others called it a failed imitation of the internationally-renowned models. One user called her walk “the worst imitation of Gigi Hadid” and another joked, “Looks like she just watched Kangana Ranaut’s Fashion.” Another user even called it a ‘ramp disaster’.
