Mahira Khan recently came in 5th on Eastern Eye newspaper’s list of 50 Sexiest Asian Women. She moved up from her previous position of 9th last year and beat multiple Bollywood stars including Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Other Pakistani celebrities who made the list included Momina Mustehsan, Mehwish Hayat and Humaima Malick.
Mahira responded to being awarded this title in typical fashion by posting a hilarious lighthearted video on to her Instagram thanking all the fans that voted for her and the newspaper that put up the list.
The past year has been a great one for Mahira Khan as she started it off by featuring opposite the king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, in the hugely successful film Raees. She capped off the year in a starring role in Shoaib Mansoor’s infamous film “Verna” where she was perhaps the only household name from the cast. Though the movie got its fair share of scathing reviews, Mahira’s acting was lauded by all who went to watch the film.

The Bol actress was the highest-ranking Pakistani on the list for the third successive year. The news of ranking so high on the list and being the highest ranked Pakistani took her by surprise.
She said “Honestly, this time I think I’m just going to take the tag and run with it! It feels great, third time in a row. Being sexy or beautiful for me is really just being comfortable in your own skin.”
She displayed just that in her Instagram video:

The video reflects Mahira’s personality perfectly. She starts off with serious poses for a photographer, pouting and trying her best to look as elegant as possible. It ends with her dancing and then sneezing while she continues to try her serious poses.
The list of 50 Sexiest Asian Men is going to be released on the 15th of December. It will be interesting to see how many Pakistanis make that list as they have a lot to live up to because how well ranked the Pakistani women were on their list.
