In a major development, a senior Pakistan military officer sued a UK-based YouTuber and retired army officer for defamation and damages at the London High Court — for running a defamatory campaign against him on YouTube and Twitter.
The serving head of the intelligence command of Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Punjab had filed a suit with the UK High Court against Adil Raja in August 2022 but made it public recently after Adil Raja stirred controversy in Pakistan over his allegations targeting leading film and TV actresses.

According to the details by the local media, Major (r) Raja accused the serving military brigadier of being involved in election rigging against PTI, doing horse-trading for General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and holding secret meetings with PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari to manipulate Punjab by-elections.
Reacting to the news reports, Major (r) Adil Raja stated that he has submitted his complete defense with evidence to the court and the court will decide the legal scope of the case first.

Major (r) Adil Raja, who is the former spokesman of the Pakistan Ex-Serviceman Society, has recently stirred controversy after alleging that some actresses were used as ‘honey traps’ by the country’s powerful establishment.
In a series of tweets, Major (r) Adil Raja shared the initials of the actresses instead of full names, after which social media users linked several actresses to the initials and started sharing pictures and videos of these actresses with derogatory comments.
The pictures of the actresses along with the allegations created a storm on social media. Netizens slammed Major (r) Adil Raja for making such salacious accusations against the actresses and he defended himself by saying that he had never taken the full names of the actresses and condemned their defamation.
The top Pakistani actresses also lashed out for the blatant character assassination. Actress Kubra Khan even announced that she would take legal action against Major (r) Adil Raja for leveling false allegations against her.
