The first images of Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai’s cameo in Nida Manzoor’s critically acclaimed British comedy We Are Lady Parts have been released, promising viewers a delightful experience.
We Are Lady Parts chronicles the adventures of a Muslim-women punk band. The latest images show Malala dressed in a blue gown, sitting on a horse, and wearing a cowgirl hat.

Following a successful first season, the show returns with Season 2 on May 30. In her cameo, Malala joins cast members Anjana Vasan (Wicked Little Letters, Black Mirror), Sarah Kameela Impey (Vera, Halcyon Heights), Juliette Motamed (Halo, Magic Mike’s Last Dance), Faith Omole (An Ideal Husband, Endeavour), and Lucie Shorthouse (Rebus, Henpocalypse!).
The second season follows the band as they return with a renewed artistic mission after the success of their first UK tour, only to face challenges from a rival band. As they confront the realities of chasing success, the band members begin to question their true desires in the music world.

In an earlier interview, creator Manzoor, who based the show on her own experiences, said the new season will delve deeper into the characters’ lives, exploring new existential challenges with the same humor and banter from the first season.
Manzoor also noted that the music in Season 2 will be even more impressive, featuring original tunes and covers, penned by her and her siblings.
All six episodes of the first season of We Are Lady Parts are available for streaming on Peacock and Channel 4 in the UK. The show is produced by Working Title Television (WTTV), part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
