PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz confirms the authenticity of her recently leaked audio clip. Furthermore, she also demanded an apology from those responsible for tapping her phone and leaking her conversation with Pervaiz Rasheed.
However, Maryam Nawaz demanding an apology during Thursday’s press conference for her audio leak did not sit well with Twitteratis and PTI officials. To clarify, Maryam Nawaz is notorious for leaking compromising videos or audioclips. For example, the Arshad Malik video scandal.
Regarding this, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr. Shahbaz Gill reminded her of how she admitted on live television that she also has audio clips and videotapes of others.
Shehbaz Gill shared a video collage of Maryam Nawaz’s Thursday press conference where she demands an apology, and consequently an old clip from a tv program where she admitted that she has recordings of other people.

In the second clip of the video collage shared by Dr. Shahbaz Gill, a senior Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir questions Maryam Nawaz on the number of tapes.
“How many more tapes do you have?” Hamid Mir asked.
“I have two more tapes. And two-three audio,” Maryam Nawaz responded.

Maryam Nawaz demands an apology
January 4th 2021, an audio clip of Maryam Nawaz and former information minister Pervaiz Rasheed surfaced where they used inappropriate words for journalists. As a result, she demanded an apology during her Thursday’s press conference in Lahore.
“Firstly, an apology should be tendered to me for my phone being tapped. It was my personal and private conversation with Pervez Rasheed sahib. Who had the right to tap my personal conversation?” Maryam Nawaz asked.
She further questioned why the audio clip was given to a certain television channel. Additionally, she also questioned the reason for airing it.
“Firstly, give answers to these questions and apologize to me as well,” she said. “I want an answer to why did you record the conversation of a citizen of Pakistan, a woman.”

Moreover, the PML-N leader asserted she was not answerable to anyone regarding her personal conversations, be it with Rashid or anyone else.
