Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz restores the one-dish order in Punjab weddings. The decision has been taken to promote austerity measures and discourage citizens from the extensive exhibitions of food.
The decision was taken by a provincial cabinet session chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The provincial cabinet also restored the decision of free medicine to cancer patients.
Maryam Nawaz has ordered the strict implementation of the orders. The decision has been taken to protect the deserving who were forced to follow the trends in weddings of ostentatious food arrangements for the guests.
However, this is not the first time the order of one-dish has been announced in Punjab. Earlier, caretaker CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi too had taken this decision. The same decision was implemented in 2022 as well.

Sharing her pictures, the official account of PMLN wrote: “Following in her father’s footsteps, CM Maryam Nawaz exemplifies support for Punjab police, including the women officers, by donning the police uniform.”
In other news, CM Maryam Nawaz traveled to Kartarpur with a copter, says the Punjab Government and denied the claims of Maryam Nawaz’s motorcade hitting and killing a boy at Narowal. The provincial Government has denied these accusations.
The spokesperson of the Punjab Government said that CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has taken notice of the incident. The case has been registered and an inquiry has been started on the orders of Maryam Nawaz.
