Last month, Maryam Nawaz departed for London just a day after the Lahore High Court (LHC) returned her passport which she had surrendered to obtain bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills Case.
During the court hearings, Maryam Nawaz had pleaded that she was in dire need to go abroad to attend to and inquire after her ailing father, requesting the court to direct the deputy registrar (judicial) to return her passport in the interest of justice. After the return of her passport, Maryam Nawaz immediately left for London and has not returned since. With the latest video, speculations are rife that Maryam Nawaz may go to the US next.
