Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz is under fire on social media as PTI followers and supporters accuse her of alleged threats to end the life of former prime minister Imran Khan.
A video clip of her recent statements on social media. Maryam Nawaz was addressing the launch event of the Kisan Card scheme on Monday. The Kisan Cards were distributed among farmers in a ceremony attended by Pakistan Muslims League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders including Rana Sanaullah, Maryam Aurangzeb, and others.
Addressing the event, she said she is making a prediction that the end of ‘fitnah’ is near. Nawaz has often called her staunch political opponent Imran Khan a ‘fitna’. Originally an Urdu word- fitna refers to social, political, or religious turmoil, conflict, or chaos that causes division or disorder within a community.

She said “I am predicting today the ‘fitnah’ is coming to its end. As well as his ‘fitnabazi’ is also coming to an end.” Nawaz further asserted the politics of ‘certain intruders’ in the political space of Pakistan is also ending. Not directly naming any party or PTI, she said that the politics of violence, and chaos is in its last stage. Their politics is dying.”
Her statements have alarmed the supporters and followers of Imran Khan who believe that she is threatening to end the life of Imran Khan. They urged the party workers to take action against her statements and demand an explanation.

Recently, there have been uncertainty and ambiguities regarding the health of Imran Khan who has been in prison for more than a year now.
Earlier, the Adiala jail authorities refuted claims made by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the alleged ill-treatment of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, revealing details of the meals and conditions provided to him in prison. These claims surfaced after PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan, following a visit to the incarcerated party leader, shared concerns about Khan’s treatment.
