Twitter reaction to the accusation
Imran Riaz Khan’s accusation against Maryam Nawaz sparked a debate on Twitter. Some Twitteratis bashed Maryam Nawaz for allegedly “bribing” the foreign leaders. They accused her of looting the public’s money and spending it on expensive gifts to establish ties with foreign countries for her own personal gain.

This is not the first time Maryam Nawaz has been accused of corruption. In 2019, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Maryam Nawaz for failing to appear in sugar mills and money laundering cases.
As per reports, Maryam Nawaz did not provide the required details of foreign investment in sugar mills. She also failed to satisfy the bureau regarding the source of income for purchasing the shares.
