Popular American actor George Clooney has bashed the international media for constantly attacking the Duchess of Sussex and former American actor since her marriage with Prince Harry last year.
Clooney condemned media that has been following her everywhere and putting out disparaging comments against her. Furious at the media and equally concerned for friend Meghan, Clooney said such media tactics will negatively harm her since she is seven-months pregnant.
“They’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere, she’s been pursued and vilified,” Clooney said at a promotional event for his new film. He also recalled how similarly media traumatized late Princess Diana, mother of Prince Harry as well.

“She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she is being pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was, and it is history repeating itself. And we’ve seen how that ends,” Clooney added.
According to George Clooney, the media intensely chased Princess Diana as well. Princess of Diana was said to have been at odds with the few factions of British media. The strong reaction from Clooney came after a UK tabloid recently published a personal letter Meghan wrote to her father.
While responding to the publishing of the princess’s personal letter Clooney said “You’re taking a letter from a daughter to a father and broadcasting it everywhere,” he said. “She’s getting a raw deal there, it’s irresponsible. I’m sort of surprised by that.”

The letter got widespread coverage in British media in which Meghan Markel confessed being emotionally insecure and self-pitying. Even her friends have also stated that such aggressive media tactics might harm her and the baby.
Since the announcement of the marriage, the unsparing UK media has taken an intense interest in Meghan Markle. Many tabloids even published news of her disagreements and conflicts with Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William.
