Pakistani singer Meesha Shafi backfired when a Twitter user asked her to name all the men who have harassed her in the entertainment industry besides Ali Zafar. Meesha Shafi responded that she has encountered harassment only from Ali Zafar but was quick to point out she is not the only one to experience harassment from him.
Referring to the claims of other half-dozen women who came forward with similar allegations of sexual harassment on Ali Zafar, Meesha Shafi asked if that wasn’t enough to validate her claims. She asked the Twitter user to tell her the number of incidents it would require for people to believe her.
“Yes, only he harassed me but he didn’t harass me only. Get it? Half a dozen other women coming forward are not enough for you all? How many will it take? Please share a number,” she added.
Her lawyers have responded with a letter that demands Ali Zafar to make an apology to Meesha Shafi and other women he has harassed.
Last month, Meesha Shafi made a startling allegation on Ali Zafar for sexually harassing her on multiple occasions. Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi are fighting a legal battle after the former sent a defamation notice to Shafi, demanding an apology along with Rs.100 billion fine.

Following her, several other women came forward with the allegations of their own on Ali Zafar, which included a make-up artist in the industry and one of his followers who claimed Ali Zafar touched her inappropriately when she went to take a picture with him at an event.
The make-up artist recounted Ali Zafar inappropriately touched her as well. She said that such things should not fall in between the grey area of friendship and physical harassment.
Despite half a dozen claims on harassment on Ali Zafar, artists and his followers are reluctant to believe Meesha Shafi’s allegations. Meesha Shafi is bearing a tough struggle to draw support from the entertainment industry. Her lawyers have responded with a letter that demands Ali Zafar to make an apology to Meesha Shafi and other women he has harassed.
