MG has officially revealed a new fully electric concept car named Cyberster. The car will debut later this month at Shanghai Auto Show and marks MG’s comeback to the sports car scene.
Cyberster is a 2-door,2-seater sports car with high-tech features like 5G connectivity and a gaming cockpit. The car is a long-awaited successor of the classic rubber bumper MGBs that were famous for being featured in the garages of beachside summer homes, shown in many classic movies.
The sports car is said to have been developed by the automaker’s Advanced Design Center in London and features its own EV platform claimed to give the concept a range of 800 kilometers or 497 miles, in addition to 0 to 62 mph launches in under three seconds.
We do not have many details ahead of the Shanghai Auto Show, but for now, the exterior and interior designs are the main point of this first peek at the concept.

The director of the SAIC Design Advanced London Carl Gotham said, “The Cyberster is a bold statement that looks strongly into MG’s future, touching on our heritage but more importantly building on our technology and advanced design.”
According to the famous automobile site GT spirit, the body of the Cyberster is designed to improve aerodynamic performance, the exterior features an MG grille serving as air ducts to ensure airflow to the chassis, classic MG headlight with interactive ‘Magic Eye’ headlights that opens when switched on, ‘laser belt’ LED strip down and LED tail lamps.
The interior reportedly features a digital fiber design that acquires a driver-centric layout with a separated cockpit between the driver and the passenger.
Being debuted as the “world’s first pure supercar equipped with a gaming cockpit,” the car is going to sure be attracting attention later in the month.
