Miftah Ismail cries after being acquitted from LNG case

Crying over the treatment meted out to him during the NAB investigations against him. He said that the privacy of his wife was breached after his wife's closet was opened during search

Former finance minister Miftah Ismail broke down in tears while talking about the LNG case against him.

Crying over the treatment meted out to him during the NAB investigations against him. He said that the privacy of his wife was breached after his wife’s closet was opened during search. Ismail said that despite being exonerated from LNG cases, the day has brought back bitter memories.

When journalist Wasatullah Khan asked him about his feelings of being exonerated from the case, he said: “Today should have been a happy day but it was a bitter day for me because of memories.”

He further added, “Today should have been a happy day but it was a bitter day for me because of memories.” I remember this and I will take Imran Khan to the court,” said Miftah.

He also named the DG NAB Islamabad Irfan Mangi and DG NAB Javed Iqbal to the courts for the case against him.

“One of the things missing in Pakistani politics is intellectual honesty and moral courage. No PMLM or PTI leader has dared to publicly congratulate @SKhaqanAbbasi or me on getting exonerated or apologize for their role in this despicable harassment and persecution,” said Miftah Ismail in a tweet.
“The worst thing that could happen to someone is to be falsely accused of a crime & have to go through character assassination campaigns & the hardships of trials. But Miftah Bhai, you didn’t raise a voice for thousands falsely accused/imprisoned/tortured post 9th May as well,” said PTI leader Hammad Azhar commenting on the tweet of Miftah Ismail.
A debate has taken over social media regarding the altercation between Miftah Ismail and Hammad Azhar. However, Miftah Ismail is adamant that Imran Khan should apologize to him.
